Dream, Believe, Succeed.

Isn’t it strange how things change. Your situation, your friendships your attitude, what’s important. Your experiences effect your emotions which directly influence your mental frame of mind. While sometimes we put in 100% effort and feel as though we are going nowhere in life take a minute to think about all the things you have achieved. While you’re sitting there wondering why you even make the effort just think your effort might be making a difference to someone else’s day. With every attempt comes success. It might not be the success you desire and chances are it won’t be the success you were expecting but isn’t that what makes this life exciting. Isn’t that why we keep on keeping on. It’s partially the unknown it’s partially the fact that it is ingrained in us from a young age.

I’m at the stage of my life where I am not getting any younger. I’m not worried about leaving a legacy. I am not concerned about money. I want to make a difference. I want to make a difference to the quality of life other people live. Not in the sense of raising money. Not in the sense of helping them find jobs. I just want to entertain people. I want to help people believe in themselves a little more. I know everyone has off days. I know people are people but when I’m having a crappy day it’s definitely people that pick me back up again. I am the kind of person who likes my space but I equally crave companionship from people. I love laying in the grass looking up at the sky and feeling a connection with another being. I love interacting with as many people as humanly possible on a daily basis.

I don’t even know why I am writing this. The past few days have been kind of intense. I don’t really cope with change very well, it’s inevitable. Life and change they go hand in hand but sometimes it blindsides you and there’s nothing you can do about it. Eventually you get used to the changes and you just have to make the most of them. If you don’t like the changes your only other option is to make your own changes and seek out a brighter future. Whether it be relationships, work or even just life itself happiness is key. When you think about the happiness you’re trying to find I want you to be selfish for a minute. I want you to think entirely about yourself just for a minute. What is it that you desire? What are you longing for. Think about what you need to do to achieve that goal. Achieve that happiness and then start making plans to reach that point.

It might require you stepping away from someone, some people, a company, a country the thing you have to remember is to not be afraid. Life is yours to live. There is no guide you just have to do your best and find your way. While the pressure to be “successful” is very real in society the truth is perception fades all scale of success. You’re only as successful as you tell yourself. You’re only as successful as you allow yourself. You will only achieve what you try to achieve.

Don’t look to other people for comparison. Do what is right by you. I’m not saying go out there and quit your job, break off your relationship or flee the country. I am saying make positive changes for yourself. Set yourself up to do the things you want to. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there!

You are capable of achieving things you didn’t even realise you were capable of achieving.

Next time you’re faced with a decision breathe, follow your heart and don’t be afraid try something bold. It’s better to say “I Tried” than “What If”

This was a bit of a brain dump I hope at least part of it helps 🙂

All the love!

  1. Good post brother. Well thought out. I don’t cope with change very well either. The first time I went through a major life change, I suffered a series of panic attacks that lead me to never wanting to leave my apartment. I prayed for a stronger me. I had no idea that in order to become strong I would have to endure something as debilitating as panic and social disorders. I’m now beginning to understand that my struggles are necessary to make it to the next stage. We all have very unique qualities. Each and everyone of us were born to be great in our uniqueness.

    1. Hey thanks so much for sharing your experience! I totally agree with you we are all so unique and our experiences differ so much! I’m sorry you had to go through so much but I really hope you’re on the other side of it all now! It’s awful when you have to experience the negative but I believe everything happens for a reason! I am sure you’re a lot more understanding and patient with people this is a quality a lot of people (including myself) lack. While you’ve been through so much you can learn from those experiences and help others through their hardships or even just share your experience like you have now. I find it fascinating hearing other people’s stores and knowing your experiences! I wish you all the best in the future! Don’t be a stranger! 🙂
