Ambition isn’t something to be ashamed of. It’s not something to be scared of. It is something you should be proud of. It is something you should enjoy. You should aspire to your ambitions. Set goals achieve what you’ve set out to and celebrate your successes. That’s life isn’t it?

For the most part yes but lately I’ve been finding myself wanting more and more. I want to do more, achieve more, see more, earn more just generally live more. While usually this is an attitude I enjoy lately I’ve found it getting me down. While I am so focused on what I want to be doing I forget about what I am doing right now. I forget about having fun I have gotten into a bad habit of not being content in the present which is a really bad way to be.

No matter where you are no matter what you are doing take time every day to be thankful for the things you do have. Be thankful for the beautiful people around you, the roof over your head, the food on your plate. Be thankful for all the things you do have that some people in this world have to go without. It’s not about feeling guilty about having more than others it’s about being thankful for the things you do have. It’s about enjoying the present and living in the now. It’s about being content because if you can’t be happy with the things you have you never will be happy you will always want more.

As much as ambition is important to progress you need to have satisfaction as well. You might be wanting gratitude from someone else but the truth is finding the value in yourself is going to be a more rewarding experience than looking to someone else for approval.

This week I challenge you to find comfort in yourself. I want you to be comfortable win your own company. Find happiness in yourself before you search for happiness in the things you’re doing, with the people who surround you. There is no need to justify yourself by the things you have or haven’t done. Be proud of the person you are.

A happy sole is a happy goal. Go find it!
