It’s A Surprise

Life comes with decisions it comes with plans and it comes with a whole lot of unknown. My rule in life is to never get too comfortable because you never know when it’s going to change. Life as you know it today might be completely different when you wake up tomorrow. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with change but I feel like there are some things we can do which will set us up for success.

Over thinking anything is never going to help you. A minute over thinking is a minute you will never get back you might as well try and make the most of every situation and while not everything is going to work out the way you hope it will the way you respond to that change is what is important. You’ve got the opportunity to be spun out. You’ve got the ability to freak out. You might not be able to handle the situation but you need to think how this is going to effect your life in the future. While right now it might feel like the entire world is crashing down around your ankles life has a funny way of working itself out.

I feel there is a lot of pressure to be something or do something. There is a lot of pressure for people to perceive you positively. There is so much pressure to be popular on social media when really at the end of the day how important is social media. Yeah it’s nice to get a lot of likes on your photos but when you depart this world will you be taking those likes with you? No you definitely won’t. Everything in life has become so disposable we change our phones yearly, we upgrade our cars every few years and when our clothes begin to fade we throw them out. It’s actually kinda scary how disposable everything is. There is only one thing in life that can’t be replaced and that is life itself. We have one life and we need to pack as much into that life as we possibly can. I think it is important to gain as much experience as you possibly can. Travel when you can, fall in love, fall out of love, try a new career path. I guess what I am saying is don’t get comfortable. You don’t need to make changes every two minutes it is just as important to find content in your life but there is nothing stopping you from trying different things and experiencing different things. Only you can decide what you want to try. Only you can choose where you want to go. You have the reigns of your own life and no one else can plan it for you. Make your own decisions and don’t second guess them. When you have made your mind up find peace in that decision and move forward with confidence. There is nothing more attractive than confidence. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance remain humble and walk with grace but don’t be afraid to back the decisions that you make. It’s better to make a decision and learn from it than wonder for the rest of your life what it might have been.

I was reading a quote earlier today and I feel like it has a lot of relevance. No one fully understands what is going on in their life no one has their life “sorted” the moment your life becomes “sorted” is the moment you’re no longer with us. We’re all just trying to find our way the best that we can. It’s important to make mistakes and learn from them. It’s important that we make the most of every opportunity that makes itself present in our lives. It is soooooooo important that we learn from the people around us but most importantly it is important that we don’t take life too seriously. You can put all the pressure in the world on yourself to be something or do something but at the end of the day take a step back and just enjoy it. It is totally ok to not know what you want to do. It’s completely fine to wonder if you’re on the right track. You really don’t have to answer to anyone else the only person you need to answer to is yourself.

Where ever you are, what ever you’re doing. I want you to remember this.

  1. Oh, I really love this and it’s so reassuring. After all, no-one really knows what’s around the corner. Why make life harder for ourselves? Thanks for the reminder to just take a step back and enjoy life …. without the unnecessary pressures.
