There are 2 voices that I am always intrigued to hear. If you know me you will know that I am a massive fan of Halsey, always have been always will be. I feel like she can do no wrong. He voice is just so unique and special, I love everything she stand for and I just find her genuinely interesting. The other voice I love is that of Bebe Rexha. I’m not as family with her story but every time I hear her voice I am inspired. These are two similar tracks in the sense that they are two “different” voices teaming up with popular producers.

Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha – In The Name Of Love

Love is such a personal experience but I love the way this song unifies love for everyone who listens to it. My experience and interpretation of love is so different to that of anyone else but this song gives you a sense of belonging and understanding because unfortunately that feeling of unconditional love turns to confusion and heartbreak. While no one truly will and never will understand what you’re feeling know that in the name of love someone else has experienced heartbreak. We do crazy things in the name of love.

The Chainsmokers – Closer ft. Halsey

I’m not going to lie it did take too long to get to Halsey’s part but when you finally get there it is definitely  worth the wait. I like the vibe of this song but I don’t really like the lyrics. One lyric particularly stands out to me “tell your friends it was nice to meet them, but I hope I never see them again.” I know this is a song about the bitter sweet feeling of meeting someone and it not working out. We’ve all got hopes, dreams and ambitions unfortunately sometimes we meet the right person at the wrong time. This is definitely one of those situations. Four years later you bump into each other and pick things up where you left off. When you get close with someone you make special memories together it might be something as silly as having a special song but for you it’s a special connection with that person cherish those special quirky little things. While the song says “we aren’t ever getting older” the truth of the matter is we are getting older every day there is no way around it. This song makes me want to make the most of every day, every minute. Don’t ever waste your time thinking about something you’ve got no control over. If someone wants you back they will do everything they can to have you back. You are special and deserve the best don’t ever forget it.
