Back in 2014 Rihanna DM’ed some of her most loyal fans in Paris and asked them to meet in Trocadero Square. At the time the fans had no idea what they were in for. I don’t really think Rihanna had any idea what she was in for either… Not only were the fans waiting for her the paparazzi showed up in their hundreds. She got completely mobbed by the crowd but she looked as though she was having the time of her life. Watching the video gives me anxiety because so much could have gone wrong but this is Rihanna and she does what she wants and I think that’s what I love about her. She takes risks to share moments with fans. She clearly loves what she does and goes out of her way to include the fans in her journey which is the most beautiful thing an artist can do. Rihanna relives that meet-up in her new video for “Goodnight Gotham,” a bonus track off ANTI.
