Loote & Jo Jonas “Longer Than I Thought”

I’ve always been a big fan of the Jonas Brothers and since they’ve started their solo projects I have been loving what the boys have been releasing. Jo Jonas has just jumped on a collab with Loote and honestly it’s my favourite track since DNCE released Toothbrush. The song itself is super upbeat and fun.

If you’re not familiar with Loote here’s a little bit about them. Loote is made up of Emma Lov and Jackson Foote they already has a massive streaming audience with their tracks “High Without Your Love” and “Out Of My Head.” Their last outing, “Your Side of the Bed,” was another bop. It has amassed more than 13 million streams on Spotify since March. They’ve already had a lot of success streaming but haven’t quite landed a commercial break out track however this could be it.

Longer than I thought is definitely a break up empowerment anthem. If you’ve recently been through a break up it’s on of those songs that you need in your life. It tackles the endless questions you have. The chorus addresses the deeper emotion while the uplifting beat drives the hopeful forward momentum. “I would have liked to hit the ground running, but I fell into you. Wanted to call you, but now it’s overdue. It’s gonna take me longer than I thought to get over you,” I really hope this track gets the radio love it deserves. It was written by the writers behind Demi Lovato and Cheat Code’s track “No Promises.
