YOLO is a saying which has become extremely prominent in life in the last couple of years especially. It has come to the point where the saying is losing its meaning but today I discovered a new version of the saying which has me excited. It reminds me of when you hear a song so many times that you get sick of it. You don’t listen to that song for a few months then you rediscover it. Everyone knows you have one shot at life, make of it what you will, to build a legacy that outlasts your lifetime would be an incredible achievement but what it all comes down to is knowing that the time you’ve spent on eath has been a good time.
You don’t have to save the world from global warming, stop world hunger or cure cancer. You would be a LEGEND if you did manage to acomplish any of these things but it’s the simple things in life we take for granted. The other day in the supermarket an elderly lady was struggling to open a plastic bag. Another lady walked over to help her opening that bag, the look of delight on her face was priceless. Sometimes it’s the smaller things we do that other people appreciate the most.
I feel life goes by so quickly and we’re focusing too much on the negatives. Take time in your day to remember the good things. You don’t have to be a life saver but each day try and help someone else without expecting anything in return. If you’re having a bad day today don’t let that bad day define tomorrow. If things don’t turn out the way you want them to don’t be discouraged. Life has a plan for you and sometimes you have to be knocked down this doesn’t mean you should sit back and coast through life waiting for your destination to arrive on your doorstep get out there find that destination for yourself.
Good Luck!
