I wanted to write a blog about confidence because it is a misconception. I often get asked how I am so comfortable with myself and well the truth is I haven’t always been this way. I am an extremely self conscious person but I’ve learned that there are a lot of people in this world and it isn’t humanly possible to please them all.
Being yourself is the most important thing we can do in the world where people, companies and media are trying to change who we are. If you’re not feeling confident I want you to go look in a mirror and ask yourself “What’s stopping me?”.
Is your opinion not good enough? Do you struggle to make decisions because you don’t want to make the wrong one. Are you worried about what people think of you. Have you changed your mind to try and fit in? I will tell you this right now your opinion is good enough. Every person is entitled to an opinion don’t ever let someone shut yours down. The best thing about making decisions is that there is going to be positives and negatives so try not to get too caught up in the moment just follow your gut instinct and have no regrets. I said this earlier and I’ve said it many times before you aren’t ever going to please everyone so do something for yourself just this once. Why don’t you make the decision that you’re happy with!
I am always worried that I come across as arrogant because of my confidence but the truth is I don’t have a lot of confidence to begin with. When I was younger I had a lot of puppy fat and an extremely high voice. I know the school yard is no playground I know first hand how cruel kids can be and I want you to know I have experienced first had what it feels like to be bullied. Bullying isn’t good for anyone’s confidence and for me this is an on going struggle but slowly I am learning to live with it.
We all have insecurities and things we don’t like about ourselves but try not to focus on the negative and try to look for the positive in every situation. You can always find a way around a negative thought or a negative comment. Free yourself from the judgement of other people and I can almost promise you that you will feel a lot more confident almost right away.
Confidence isn’t something that will happen over night. It can’t be brought it takes a lot of hard work but there really isn’t anything stopping you. Keep an open mind try your best and be free. Open your mind to the unknown and let yourself explore who you really are.
Your confidence begins here!

I really love this post! Confidence is something that I struggle with on a daily basis and sometimes I tend to change my personality based on who I’m talking to, to try to make sure that I don’t piss anyone off. But this post has definitely given me some things to think about and thank you for writing it! 🙂 And your confidence never comes off as arrogant, your confidence comes off as really friendly, bubbly and positive that makes everyone smile! Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂
